Special Issue

Pollen-Food Syndrome: Immunological Mechanisms, Precision Diagnostics, New Treatment Strategies, and Advances in Low-Allergenicity Cultivar Breeding

Allergologia et Immunopathologia invites submissions for a Special Issue dedicated to Pollen-Food Syndrome (PFS), a rapidly evolving field at the intersection of immunology, clinical allergology, molecular diagnostics, and plant science. We welcome high-quality original research and reviews addressing immunological mechanisms of cross-reactivity, advances in precision diagnostics (including CRD, multiplex IgE platforms, and cellular assays), and emerging therapeutic strategies such as recombinant allergens, immune-modulating biologics, and optimized immunotherapy.

This issue will also highlight innovations in agricultural science, including breeding and genomic editing of low-allergenicity fruit and vegetable cultivars. Submissions offering clinical insights, translational perspectives, and interdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged.
